Arshak Andriasov
As a West Palm Beach-based classical music composer and author, Arshak Andriasov was surrounded by music, literature, and philosophy from an early age. His father, Iosif Andriasov (1933-2000), was a world-renowned composer of Armenian heritage, while his mother, Marta Andriasova (Kudryashova) (b. 1941), is a musicologist of Russian heritage. Together, they created an environment where cultural activities were part of everyday life.
Born and raised in New York City, Arshak began studying piano at the age of three under the guidance of his father and later with pianist/teacher Boris Slutzky. Practicing everyday helped build a foundation for discipline. Performing with "Spiritual Qualities," uncovered by Iosif Andriasov, brought empathy and respect for humanity.
By age fourteen, Arshak had begun studying classical music composition with his father before continuing his education with Daniel Thompson at the Lucy Moses School of Music and later graduating Hunter College with Shafer Mahoney.
Arshak’s music draws from a wide range of influences, including Armenian folk traditions, Russian classical music, and elements of American jazz, while creating a contemporary musical language. Living in a cosmopolitan city like New York for 28 years, Mr. Andriasov is pleased to witness the rich diversity of cultures coming together in West Palm Beach.

It was in South Florida that he met his future wife, Claudia Andriasova (Caminero). Their first encounter occurred after both missed the same bus stop. What began as a chance meetingdeveloped into a lasting relationship built on love, friendship, and shared values. Later, they married just a block away from where they first met.Their family grew with the birth of their son, Iosif, in West Palm Beach. Fatherhood became oneof the most meaningful influences on Arshak's life, shaping both his priorities and the way he communicates his ideas. Arshak and his family had planned a trip from South Florida to the North, and he was lookingforward to experiencing the cooler weather and seeing familiar places. However, after reachingDaytona Beach, his mother became unwell, and they decided to return home.
Claudia and Arshak cared for her health and during this time he wrote a book Wisdom and Reflection.This book examines 100 philosophical quotes written by his father. These quotes are preserved in a collection of personal diaries spanning 1968 through 2000. These diaries were carefully kept by Arshak’s mother. Rather than simply presenting the quotations, Arshak offers his own interpretations, demonstrating how timeless philosophical ideas can be applied to everyday life.Wisdom and Reflection is available locally at Dancing Elephant Books in Lake Worth Beach and Arya Tea Bar in West Palm Beach.
The book needed a broader effort to share these ideas with a wider audience. Claudia gave the idea to launch a TikTok channel. Mr. Andriasov created @WisdomWithArshak, an account dedicated to philosophy, relationships, self-improvement, and personal responsibility. Drawing from his father’s quotes as well as his own observations and experiences, Arshak began creating short videos in various locations like Composition Coffee, Pura Vida, Common Ground, and one of his favorite places, Palm Beach Ice Works.While walking through the streets, parks, and waterfront areas of West Palm Beach, Arshak would also record his videos while pushing his son in a stroller or carrying him on his chest.
These walks turned into opportunities for meaningful advice. The response to these videos has been remarkable. Viewers frequently share messages describing how particular videos changed their life and how beautiful the scenery of West Palm Beach is.
Many followers affectionately refer to him as "Unc," a term of familiarity and respect that reflects the supportive role his content has played in their lives.
